Basketball club Hapoel Tel Aviv made a strong start to the new EuroLeague season, securing two victories in the opening rounds. Armenian national team player Chris Jones participated in both games and helped the Israeli team achieve success.
In the first round, Hapoel defeated Barcelona at home with a score of 103–87. Jones had an effective performance, scoring 12 points, adding 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
In the second round, the Tel Aviv team beat Anadolu Efes away 87–81. Jones contributed 9 points and 1 steal in that game.
After two rounds, Hapoel Tel Aviv leads the EuroLeague standings.
It should be reminded that this summer Chris Jones joined the Israeli club from Spain’s Valencia.
