James Santos Returns to Pyunik

Brazilian full-back James Santos has returned to Armenian club Pyunik, signing a contract after playing for Van. For the 30-year-old footballer, this marks his third stint with the capital city team.

Previously, Santos played for Pyunik from 2023 to 2025, then moved to Noah, and returned to Pyunik again in the summer of 2025. However, he stayed in the team for only a week before transferring to Van during the same transfer window, where he started the current season, appearing in 14 matches and registering one assist.

In the winter of 2026, Santos once again joined Pyunik, replacing the departed Joel Bopes. For the Brazilian, this is already his seventh year in the Armenian Premier League.

This is Pyunik’s second winter transfer, after the club earlier strengthened its squad with Artak Dashyan from Noah.
