Icelandic footballer Gudmundur Thorarinsson is no longer a player of Noah. The parties have mutually agreed to end their cooperation.
The 33-year-old defender/midfielder spent one and a half seasons with the Armenian club. During this period, Thorarinsson became the Armenian champion and won the national cup, adding to his impressive trophy collection. Earlier in his career, he won league titles in Norway and MLS, as well as the Norwegian Cup.
While playing for Noah, Thorarinsson made 44 appearances, scoring 2 goals and providing 7 assists.
Gudmundur Thorarinsson and FC Noah have reached an agreement to terminate their contract, following Gudmundur's wish to return home permanently to his family.
Previously, Noah was also left by Armenia national team players Artak Dashyan and Ognen Čančarević, both aged 36. Thus, the Armenian champions are clearly following a squad rejuvenation strategy.
It should be noted that Noah will face either Celje or AZ in the UEFA Conference League round of 32. The first matches will take place on February 19 or 20, with the draw scheduled for January 16.
