On April 27, the 2025 European Judo Team Championships for mixed teams took place in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.
In the final, the Georgian team defeated Italy with a score of 4–3. The decisive point for Georgia was secured by Sofi Somkhishvili.
The bronze medals were claimed by the teams of Russia and Germany. Russia beat Turkey 4–0. Karen Galstyan (73 kg) competed for Russia and won his match against a Turkish judoka in the bronze medal contest.
The second bronze went to Germany, who defeated Belgium 4–3.
