Gor Sahakyan — bronze medalist at the European U23 Weightlifting Championships

Armenian weightlifter Gor Sahakyan (71 kg weight category) won the bronze medal at the European U23 Championships held in Durrës, Albania.

The two-time European champion among seniors, who won silver at the last senior continental championship, added a big bronze medal and two small bronzes to his collection.

In the snatch, Sahakyan lifted 145 kg, failing twice to lift 150 kg. In the clean and jerk, the Armenian athlete showed a solid result of 182 kg and attempted 190 kg in his third lift to fight for a higher place, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
