Goalkeeper Henri Avagyan returns to Pyunik

29-year-old goalkeeper of the Armenian national team, Henri Avagyan, has rejoined Yerevan’s FC Pyunik, the club’s press service reports.
Avagyan previously played for Pyunik during the 2023/24 season, appearing in 29 matches, including all 8 European cup games without being substituted, and kept 4 clean sheets. He became Armenian champion with the club that season.
His most recent club was Ararat-Armenia, with whom he won the Armenian Super Cup in April 2025.
Earlier in his career, Avagyan played for Mika, Banants (Urartu), Alashkert, Van, Noravank, and BKMA. He has represented Armenia at all youth levels and made his senior national team debut in 2018 against Liechtenstein.
