Head Coach of Armenia’s Futsal National Team Awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal

On Armenia’s Independence Day, the head coach of the national futsal team, Ruben Nazaretyan, was honored with a high state award — the Movses Khorenatsi Medal. The decree of award was signed for his outstanding services to the Homeland, long-standing fruitful activity, and dedication to his mission.

Nazaretyan has been leading the Armenian national team for more than 20 years. During this time, he managed to raise futsal in the country to a new level, laying a solid foundation for the development of the sport.

Today, Armenia has a strong and competitive team that, for the first time in history, will take part in the final stage of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 in February.
