Armenia’s head coach John van’t Schip travels across the country with his daughter — photos and videos

The head coach of the Armenian national team, John van’t Schip, went on a short trip across Armenia together with his daughter Estelle van’t Schip and assistant coach Aron Winter to get a better understanding of the country’s culture and mentality.
This time, the Dutch specialist didn’t come to Armenia alone — his daughter Estelle accompanied him and shared videos from their journey. Joining them was also the assistant coach, former Netherlands international and Inter Milan player Aron Winter.
The coaching staff visited a number of landmarks, including the monasteries of Khor Virap and Noravank, the Areni winery, and other picturesque locations around Armenia. Judging by the published footage, John van’t Schip is striving not only for sporting success but also for a deeper connection with the country that is now part of his professional career.
As a reminder, the former Ajax coach took charge of the Armenian national team in February 2025. His debut was disappointing — Armenia suffered two heavy defeats to Georgia in the Nations League playoffs, with a combined score of 1:9. However, van’t Schip now has significantly more time to prepare and adapt.
Armenia will play two friendly matches in June — on the 6th against Kosovo and on the 9th against Montenegro. The first match of the 2025 World Cup qualifiers is scheduled for September 6 — Armenia will host Portugal in Yerevan.
