From April 23 to 28, Cairo (Egypt) will host the sixth and final stage of the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup. The Armenian national team will take part in the tournament, with Artur Davtyan, Vaagn Davtyan, Artur Avetisyan, Hamlet Manukyan, and Gagik Khachikyan representing the country.
Three Armenian gymnasts — Artur Davtyan, Vaagn Davtyan, and Hamlet Manukyan — remain in strong contention for the overall series victory. Under certain outcomes, Armenian athletes could win the overall ranking in three of the six apparatuses.
After five stages of the World Cup, Hamlet Manukyan leads the pommel horse rankings with two gold medals. Vaagn Davtyan has claimed gold and silver on the rings, while Artur Avetisyan earned two bronze medals on the same apparatus. Artur Davtyan has been consistently performing at a high level, already winning three golds and one bronze in the vault.
The final World Cup standings are determined by the total points earned, but only the top four results of each gymnast are counted in the final rankings.
It’s worth noting that the Armenian gymnasts missed the second stage of the World Cup, held in Baku, but a successful performance in Cairo could make up for that absence.
