Geragusyan registered an assist in the Premier League Cup match (VIDEO)

Armenia U21 forward Finn Geragusyan provided an assist in a Premier League Cup match while playing for Sunderland U21.

The match against Colchester U21 ended in a 2–4 defeat for the Black Cats. Despite the loss, Sunderland U21 finished second in Group H and advanced to the playoff stage of the tournament, losing out to today’s opponent on tiebreakers.

In the first half, Geragusyan assisted Jadon Jones: the Armenian forward’s teammate went one-on-one with the goalkeeper and skillfully chipped the ball over him to make it 2–2. However, in the second half, Colchester U21 scored two more goals to secure the victory.

This season, the 18-year-old Geragusyan has been enjoying a productive spell at youth level: he has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists for Sunderland U21, while recording 5 goals and 1 assist for Sunderland U18.
