Georgiy Harutyunyan named in Sofascore’s Nations League Matchday 1 Team of the Week

Armenia defender Georgiy Harutyunyan has been named in Sofascore’s Team of the Week for the opening matchday of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League. In Armenia’s 2–0 win over Latvia, he scored his first goal for the national team and earned a Sofascore rating of 8.6.

Harutyunyan also contributed in possession, making three key passes and completing more passes than any other Armenia player — 76 at 94% accuracy. He recorded two interceptions as well. Sofascore selects its Team of the Week using players’ ratings in each position.

Finland midfielder Leo Walta received the team’s highest rating, a perfect 10. He scored twice in a 7–0 win over San Marino, while his teammate Joel Pohjanpalo, who also made the team, scored a hat-trick. Erling Haaland was selected among the forwards after scoring twice in Norway’s 3–2 victory over Denmark.
