Armenian weightlifter Garik Karapetyan (weight category up to 110 kg) became the 2025 European U23 Champion, winning gold at the European Championships held in Durrës, Albania.
The two-time senior European champion added another title to his impressive collection — this time in the U23 division.
In the snatch, Karapetyan confidently took first place, while in the clean and jerk he finished second, behind his compatriot Petros Petrosyan. As a result, Karapetyan won a small gold, a small silver, and a big gold for the total.
Petros Petrosyan, unfortunately, had no result in the snatch, but managed to win a small gold in the clean and jerk.
