Garegin Mashumyan joins Unisport ahead of Champions League campaign

Yerevan-based Unisport have announced the signing of former Armenia national futsal team captain Garegin Mashumyan.
The 36-year-old all-round player has become the team’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Mashumyan previously played for Siev, which he left after the end of the season.
The arrival of the experienced futsal player is an important reinforcement for Unisport ahead of the new season and their Champions League campaign. Mashumyan is well known to Armenian fans for his performances with the national team, where he was one of the leaders and wore the captain’s armband.
According to Sportaran.com, Unisport could strengthen the squad with two more Armenia national futsal team players this summer. The club continues to work in the transfer market and is preparing for its European campaign.
The preliminary round of the Futsal Champions League will begin on August 25. The Yerevan side will start its journey in Europe’s main club competition from this stage.
