“Gandzasar” claims first victory of the season by defeating “Van”

“Gandzasar” secured their first win of the 2025/26 Armenian Premier League season in Matchday 6. Karen Barseghyan’s team beat “Van” 1-0.

The decisive goal came from 24-year-old midfielder Patvakan Avetisyan, who scored his debut goal in the Armenian Premier League. In the 18th minute, after a corner kick taken by Petros Avetisyan, the ball fell to Patvakan, and he fired a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area to find the net.

After six rounds, “Gandzasar” have collected 6 points and sit in 7th place in the standings, while “Van,” with 5 points, are right behind them in 8th position.
