Hamlet Manukyan — winner of the 2025 Summer Universiade in artistic gymnastics

Armenia won its first medal at the World Summer University Games (Universiade) held in Germany.

17-year-old gymnast Hamlet Manukyan claimed victory in the pommel horse final, scoring 14.933 points and winning the gold medal.

Unfortunately, his compatriot Mamikon Khachatryan, who had confidently won the qualification round, made a mistake in the final and finished 8th with a score of 11.933.

It should be noted that earlier this year Manukyan had already become the European champion and the absolute World Cup winner, and now he has added the Universiade champion title to his collection of achievements.
