FC West Armenia expelled from the 2024/25 Armenian Premier League

Football club West Armenia has been officially expelled from the current Armenian Premier League season. The decision was announced by the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) following the team’s second no-show for a league match this season.
Next season, the club will only be eligible to participate in the First League. Additionally, West Armenia has been fined 2 million drams (approximately €4600).
According to the FFA, the club is facing serious financial difficulties. Players have not received their salaries for an extended period. In the second half of the season, the club was actively seeking a new owner, but without success.
