The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has presented a project for changes in the structure of the Premier League, taking into account the results of recent seasons and strategic development goals. Premier League and First League clubs are invited to discussions and can submit their proposals by February 20.
Two reform options have been proposed:
- Option A – reducing the number of participants to 8 teams with 4 rounds (28 matches).
- Option B – expanding to 10 teams with 3 or 4 rounds (27 or 36 matches).
The 2025/26 season will be transitional, and starting from 2026/27, changes may be introduced regarding the relegation system, the status of the BKMA club, and new player registration regulations.
The final decision will be made by the FFA Executive Committee after discussions with the clubs.
