The Football Federation of Armenia Condemned the Use of Force Against a Child After the National Cup Final

The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) commented on an incident that occurred after the final match of the Armenian Cup between "Noah" and "Ararat-Armenia," held on May 13, 2025.
In response to an inquiry from "Armenpress," the FFA press service stated that an unacceptable incident occurred during the on-field celebrations following the match. A security staff member—employed by a private company under contract with the federation—used disproportionate force against a minor fan who had run onto the field after the game.
The FFA strongly condemned the behavior, calling it unacceptable and contrary to the values and rules upheld by the organization. The statement emphasized that the use of excessive force during matches or celebrations is not permissible.
"The FFA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a safe and humane atmosphere at all matches, especially for our young fans. We deeply regret the incident and assure that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent such events in the future," the federation’s statement read.
Earlier, the fan movement "Armenian Front" (Առաջին հայկական ճակատ) released a video and statement alleging that the violence against the child was carried out by the head of FFA’s security service.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia has also taken an interest in the incident. Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan told "Armenpress" that the collected materials have already been forwarded to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
