“This Match Is for Armenia”: FC Noah President’s Address Ahead of the Game Against AZ

FC Noah President Vardges Vardanyan addressed the fans ahead of the first leg of the UEFA Conference League Round of 32 match against AZ Alkmaar. The game will take place on February 19 in Yerevan, kicking off at 21:45 local time.

In his address, Vardanyan emphasized the club’s special responsibility at this stage of their European journey and highlighted the crucial role of the fans in achieving success.

“We feel a huge responsibility for the path we are walking together. A stadium is made of people, and it is people who create victory, shoulder to shoulder. The atmosphere you create gives strength to the team. The culture of support is an essential part of the path to excellence, and thanks to you, we are here today,” Vardanyan said.

The FC Noah president also noted that the match will be historic, as it will be the first international football match held in Armenia in February.

“We know it’s late and cold, but there are no easy roads. This is European football, with its own rules and rhythm. Now is the time for a new challenge — to stand alongside an Armenian team in the playoffs. This match is for Armenia, for Armenian football, and for our flag. In this fight, you are our support point. We are waiting for a full and united stadium,” the statement reads.

In conclusion, Vardanyan called on fans to support the team:
