Elina Avanesyan Reaches the WTA 250 Hamburg Semifinals

Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan, ranked No. 208 in the WTA rankings, has advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Hamburg.

Her quarterfinal opponent, Oleksandra Oliynykova, did not take the court, allowing Avanesyan to advance to the next round without playing.

In the semifinals, Elina will face world No. 97 Anna Bondar. The Hungarian defeated another Armenian tennis player, Alina Charaeva, in the quarterfinals.

Avanesyan began her campaign in Hamburg in the qualifying rounds and recorded four victories on her way to the quarterfinals.
