Pyunik Yerevan head coach Egishe Melikyan is likely to leave the club in the coming days and take charge of the Armenian national team. This was reported by the commentator and insider of "Fast Sport" Suren Meliksetyan.
According to his information, Melikyan has already met with the leadership of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) before the second leg of the UEFA Conference League match against Hungarian side Győr. The negotiations were constructive, and the probability of the specialist being appointed as the national team’s head coach is considered high.
If Melikyan leaves, Pyunik could be led by Vardan Minasyan, who has previously worked with a number of players from the current squad of the capital club during his coaching tenure at Ararat-Armenia.
