On June 4, 2025, Transfermarkt updated the market values of Russian Premier League players. The changes also affected Armenian players, with Eduard Spertsyan now becoming the most expensive player in the league.
“Eduard Spertsyan (+5 to €25 million) returns to the top of the list of the RPL’s most valuable players after half a year, catching up with Zenit’s Luis Enrique in terms of valuation. The ‘Bulls’ captain became a key figure in the team that won the 2024/25 Russian championship. His consistent performances throughout the season and strong interest from abroad helped him reach a new peak market value,” writes Transfermarkt.
The Krasnodar captain was the central figure in the club’s first-ever league title. The 24-year-old midfielder scored 11 goals and delivered 7 assists during the 2024/25 season, establishing himself as a true leader. His value increased by €5 million, reaching €25 million — equal to Luis Enrique, whose value remained unchanged.
Spertsyan is now actively seeking a new club to continue his career. The Armenian footballer wants to try himself in Europe, and Krasnodar will not stand in his way after their title-winning season. However, it’s clear that European clubs are unlikely to pay €25 million for a player from the RPL, so Krasnodar is ready to consider offers in the €15–20 million range, especially since Spertsyan’s contract runs only until summer 2026 — meaning a top-price sale is unlikely.
