Krasnodar captain Eduard Spertsyan continues to rewrite the history of the Russian Premier League. According to the analytics company Opta, the goal he scored against Rubin Kazan in Round 27 made him the first central midfielder of the 21st century to score 10 or more goals in three consecutive RPL seasons.
This season, Spertsyan has already scored 10 goals. He netted 10 in the 2022/23 season as well, and 11 in the previous one. Thus, he surpassed players like Aleksei Yesipov, Igor Semshov, Dmitry Loskov, and Andrey Karyaka, who also had three 10+ goal seasons, but not consecutively.
The match against Rubin ended in a 2–1 victory for Krasnodar, with Spertsyan playing a decisive role — scoring a goal and providing an assist.
A product of the club and now its captain, Spertsyan not only leads the Bulls to strong results but also continues to make history in the RPL.
