Krasnodar midfielder Eduard Spertsyan has rewritten Russian Premier League history. In the match against Krylya Sovetov on November 30, he delivered his seventh set-piece assist of the season — a corner assist that became the record for the entire period of Opta data collection in the RPL (since 2009).
In addition to his set-piece achievements, Spertsyan remains the most productive player in the league over the last five seasons. Since the 2021/22 season, he has recorded 80 goal contributions in 127 matches:
— 48 goals
— 32 assists
This is the best tally in the RPL over this span:
80 — Eduard Spertsyan
73 — Jhon Córdoba
72 — Maksim Glushenkov
68 — Mateo Cassierra
59 — Artem Dzyuba
In the latest match against Krylya Sovetov, Spertsyan once again became the main hero: he scored two goals, provided an assist, and Krasnodar secured a confident 5–0 victory.
