Edmen Shahbazyan received a $50,000 bonus for "Performance of the Night" at UFC Vegas 102, held on February 16. The 27-year-old fighter secured an impressive victory by knocking out Dylan Budka in the first round. This marks the second such bonus in Shahbazyan's career.
In the main event of the evening, Jared Cannonier faced Gregory Rodrigues. The fight was both thrilling and intense, earning both fighters the "Fight of the Night" award. Cannonier managed to turn the tide after a difficult start and finished Rodrigues with strikes in the fourth round. This was his third "Fight of the Night" bonus in his last four appearances, while Rodrigues earned this award for the third time since making his UFC debut in 2021.
Alongside Shahbazyan, Gabriel Bonfim also received a "Performance of the Night" bonus. The Brazilian, who had previously won a "Fight of the Night" award in November 2023, once again stood out by securing a D’Arce choke submission victory over Khaos Williams in the second round.
Shahbazyan confidently improved his UFC record with his seventh win, securing his fifth first-round finish. His lightning-fast knockout of Budka, which lasted just 94 seconds, became one of the most spectacular moments of the night.
