21-year-old Armenian forward Edgar Navassardian, who plays for Swedish side Östersund, missed the first seven rounds of Superettan (Sweden's second division) due to injury. In the 8th round, he came on only in the final minutes, but in the 9th round against Västerås, he started the match and played the full 90 minutes.
However, Navassardian was unable to prevent his team from losing — Västerås secured a 1–0 home win.
After nine rounds, Östersund is in 8th place on the Superettan table with 12 points.
It is worth noting that Navassardian joined Östersund from Örebro Syrianska, a club playing in a lower division, where Edgar was the team's top scorer last season with 13 goals.
