Colombian winger Jonathan Duarte has left Ararat-Armenia following the expiration of his contract. The 28-year-old footballer spent four and a half years at the Yerevan-based club and became one of the most prominent figures of the team in recent seasons.
During his time at Ararat-Armenia, Duarte made exactly 100 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing 22 assists. The Colombian consistently contributed to the team both in the Armenian Premier League and on the international stage.
In the current season, the winger lost his place in the squad to Artur Serobyan and frequently missed matches due to injuries, featuring in only three league games. Nevertheless, his years at Ararat-Armenia proved to be the best period of Duarte’s career.
The club’s fans will surely remember the Colombian’s bright performances in European competitions for a long time, while his spectacular goal against Puskás Akadémia last season is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful moments in the club’s recent history.
