Two Armenian wrestlers will fight for bronze at the U17 World Championships in Athens

Today, at the ongoing U17 World Wrestling Championships in Athens, Greece, two representatives of the Armenian national team have earned the right to compete for bronze medals.
In the 51 kg weight category, Marat Atshemyan confidently defeated Egypt’s Mohamed El Tayeb 8-0 in the repechage round. In the decisive bronze medal match, he will face Polat Karadeniz of Turkey.
Zaven Mezhlumyan (60 kg) won two repechage matches: first defeating Germany’s Mick Labes 9-0, then beating Mexico’s Zeus Gonzales 5-0. In the bronze medal bout, Mezhlumyan will take on Denis Seredin from Ukraine.
The final block of the competition will take place today at 18:00 local time.
It should be reminded that yesterday, Armenian wrestler Janes Nazaryan became world champion in the 65 kg weight category.
