Minoungou and Tapsoba gives Burkina Faso victory over Equatorial Guinea

The Burkina Faso national team made a bright start to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, claiming a dramatic comeback win over Equatorial Guinea in the opening round of the group stage.
The Group E encounter ended in a 2–1 victory for the Stallions. Burkina Faso spent most of the second half with a numerical advantage, but the scoring opened only late in the match. In the 85th minute, Marvin Aniboh put Equatorial Guinea ahead, yet the final moments turned into a true triumph for Brama Traoré’s side.
Seattle's George Minungu tied the score in the 95th minute. And in the 90+8th minute, Tapsoba brought his team a dramatic victory.
Special mention goes to Gustavo Sangaré, midfielder of Armenian club Noah, who played 70 minutes for Burkina Faso. According to FlashScore (7.5 rating), Sangaré was among the best performers for his team in this match.
