David Trezeguet in Yerevan: the football star arrives for the presentation of Juventus Academy in Armenia

Former French national team striker, World and European champion, two-time champion of France and Italy, legendary Juventus player and now FIFA ambassador David Trezeguet has arrived in Yerevan to take part in the official opening ceremony of the Armenian branch of the Turin giant’s academy — Juventus.
In his video message, Trezeguet said:
"Hello Armenia, hello Yerevan!
I am David Trezeguet, and I want to inform you that at the end of May I will be with you to participate in the presentation of the Juventus football academy. I'm looking forward to seeing you and will be with you soon. Let's go, Armenia!"
The presentation of the project, with the participation of David Trezeguet, will take place in Yerevan on May 29.
The creation of the academy was announced in April. The project is being implemented by the company Next Gen Sports, with investments exceeding 1 billion drams. The training bases will be located in the Avan district and near Hrazdan Stadium. The academy will operate according to the Juventus system for children aged 5 to 17. The main coaching staff will consist of specialists from Europe.
The infrastructure will include natural and artificial fields, modern recovery zones, and sports technology (including Catapult, Playmaker, and GPS devices).
The academy will be partially free — up to 100 of the most talented children, selected by Italian coaches, will be able to study at no cost. Social support programs are also planned. A dormitory-hotel will be opened for non-local students, and conditions will be created to host foreign teams.
The most promising students will have the opportunity to train at Juventus’s main academy in Turin and participate in international tournaments.
The official launch of the project in Armenia is scheduled for autumn 2025.
