Krasnodar and Yerevan’s Alashkert have officially completed the transfer of Nigerian midfielder David Nduka. The 21-year-old footballer will continue his career in the Armenian Premier League.

Nduka joined Krasnodar in 2022 from Bulgarian side Botev for €200,000. He played only one match for the Bulls' main squad in the Russian Premier League and made 33 appearances for Krasnodar-2. Over the past two seasons, the midfielder was on loan at Russian First League clubs Arsenal (Tula) and Sokol.

The Nigerian is a graduate of the Vista academy, whose management currently works at Alashkert. Thus, for the footballer, the move to the Armenian club can be considered a return to a familiar environment.

Six months ago, Nduka spoke about his ambitions:

"My main goal now is to reach the Premier League and play regularly there. In five years, I see myself playing in one of Europe’s top five leagues."

So far, he has not managed to establish himself in the elite of Russian football, but the Armenian league could become an important springboard for the midfielder. An example is the transfer of his compatriot Okonkwo to Prague's Sparta after a successful spell in the Armenian championship.
