Armenian and Yezidi mixed martial artist David Mgoyan (7-1) will have his next fight on January 22 in Las Vegas at the Tuff-N-Uff 151 event. His opponent will be Chilean fighter Pablo Burgos, who holds a record of 5-3.
For the 21-year-old Mgoyan, this bout will be his third appearance under the Tuff-N-Uff banner and already his sixth fight in the United States. Previously, David had the opportunity to earn a UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series, but in a highly competitive and closely contested fight, he lost to Tommy McMillen, suffering the first defeat of his professional career.
After that, Mgoyan temporarily switched formats and competed in a jiu-jitsu match in Moscow. The upcoming fight against Burgos will mark his first return to MMA since that loss and an important step in continuing his career on the American stage.
