Armenian midfielder Daniel Aghbalyan is leaving Yerevan’s Pyunik. According to the club’s press service, the contract between the parties has come to an end.
The 27-year-old midfielder made 19 appearances for Pyunik in all competitions and provided 4 assists. During the recently completed season, Aghbalyan rarely appeared on the pitch, as he spent a significant amount of time recovering from injuries.
Despite a difficult season, the midfielder remains an interesting option for Armenian clubs. Aghbalyan has experience playing at a high level and also has one appearance for the Armenia national team.
Pyunik finished third in the Armenian championship last season and earned the right to play in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
Earlier, the Yerevan club had already strengthened its midfield by signing Hovhannes Harutyunyan, who returned to Pyunik from Noah.
