On November 4, in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the European qualifying league of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 — to be hosted in Brazil — took place.
The Armenia women’s national football team will compete in League C, joining Group C6 alongside Belarus and Kazakhstan. The matches will be played between February/March and June 2026.
Tournament Format
The European qualification will follow a format similar to the UEFA Women’s Nations League. The teams are divided into three leagues:
-
League A — 16 teams
-
League B — 16 teams
-
League C — 21 teams
At the end of the group stage, the four group winners of League A will directly qualify for the 2027 World Cup. Additionally, 32 teams will advance to the play-offs, held between October and December 2026, to decide seven more direct spots and one intercontinental play-off berth.
Besides determining World Cup qualification, this competition will also decide promotions and relegations between leagues for the next UEFA Women’s Nations League cycle (2027–29).
