2025 European U17 Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships: First Day Results, Armenia's Success

On June 10, the U17 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship kicked off in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. On the first day of competition, medals were awarded in five weight categories — 48, 55, 65, 80, and 110 kg. Finalists were also determined in the remaining five categories.

Team Armenia made a confident start to the tournament: following the first finals, the team claimed two silver medals. Additionally, two more Armenian wrestlers advanced to the finals and will compete for gold on June 11, while two others remain in contention for bronze medals.

Thanks to a strong performance on the opening day, Armenia currently leads the team standings.
