European Freestyle Wrestling Championships U17 (2025): Full Tournament Results
Wrestling

On June 15, the U17 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship concluded in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. On the third and final day of the tournament, winners and medalists were determined in the 45, 51, 60, 71, and 92 kg weight categories.

Team Armenia won two bronze medals thanks to Aren Piruzyan (45 kg) and Razmik Voskanian (60 kg). A day earlier, Artak Agabekyan (48 kg) claimed silver, while Armen Papikyan (55 kg) took bronze.

In total, the Armenian team secured four medals at the European Championship — one silver and three bronze. This result earned Armenia fourth place in the team standings. The tournament was won by Azerbaijan with 151 points. Ukraine also achieved an excellent result, scoring 144 points.

Only three countries produced champions at the tournament in Skopje: Russia won 5 gold medals (but did not participate in the team standings), Azerbaijan won 3 golds, and Ukraine 2.

It’s worth noting that earlier, in the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament, Armenia claimed the team title.
