2026 European Judo Championships: Results of Day Two
On April 17, the second day of the 2026 European Judo Championships took place in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Medals were contested in three weight categories: men’s -73 kg, as well as women’s -57 kg and -63 kg divisions.
The host nation won two gold medals — Georgia’s national team now has 2 golds and 1 silver at the home tournament. Another gold medal was claimed by the Netherlands.
Representing Armenia on the second day was Artak Torosyan (73 kg), who was eliminated in his opening bout.

Men
73 kg:
- Lasha Shavdatuashvili (Georgia)
- Hidayat Heydarov (Azerbaijan)
- Dayan Bulemtafes (France) and Bilal Ciloglu (Turkey)
Women
57 kg:
- Eteri Liparteliani (Georgia)
- Timna Nelson Levy (Israel)
- Binta Ndiaye (Switzerland) and Sarah Leonie Cysique (France)
63 kg:
- Joanne van Lieshout (Netherlands)
- Manon Deketer (France)
- Angelika Szymańska (Poland) and Iva Oberan (Croatia)
On the following competition day, medals will be contested in three additional weight categories:
- Men — 81 kg and 90 kg
- Women — 70 kg
