On August 14, Arman Tsarukyan and Mauricio Ruffy had their first staredown ahead of their upcoming fight at UFC 331.
The faceoff between the two fighters was tense. After the staredown, Tsarukyan said he could see fear in his opponent’s eyes.
“The first staredown went well. I feel fear! I see fear in his eyes. So UFC 331 is going to be our night,” Tsarukyan said after coming face-to-face with the Brazilian.
The Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mauricio Ruffy fight will serve as the co-main event of UFC 331, which takes place on September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The bout is scheduled for five rounds.
Tsarukyan was originally expected to face former UFC champion Charles Oliveira, but the Brazilian withdrew from the fight for personal reasons. Ruffy stepped in as his replacement.
Mauricio Ruffy holds a professional record of 14 wins and two losses, while Arman Tsarukyan has 23 wins and three losses.
