Grozny-based Akhmat will consider the possibility of signing Pari NN midfielder Valery Tsarukyan following the club’s winter training camp in Belek, Turkey. This was reported by insider Ivan Karpov.
The 24-year-old Armenian midfielder has seen very limited playing time this season with the Nizhny Novgorod club, making four appearances in the Russian Premier League and two in the Russian Cup. Tsarukyan missed the start of the season while recovering from injury and later failed to secure a place in the starting lineup, despite the team experiencing serious attacking issues.
During the training camp in Belek, Akhmat, led by head coach Stanislav Cherchesov, will undergo a three-stage preparation for the second half of the season. In the first stage, the Grozny side will play two friendly matches against Serbian teams: Novi Pazar on January 13 and OFK Belgrade on January 18.
Following the camp, the coaching staff and club management will make a decision regarding Valery Tsarukyan’s future.
