Briasco Balekian returns to Boca Juniors but is not in the club’s plans

Armenian forward Norberto Briasco Balekian has returned to Boca Juniors following the end of his loan spell at Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata.

The 29-year-old striker spent one and a half years on loan. During this period, he made 30 appearances in all competitions and scored one goal.

Balekian’s contract with Boca Juniors runs until the end of 2026, but his future at the club remains uncertain. According to Argentine media reports, the Armenian footballer, along with 19 other players returning from loan, is training separately from the first team.

Boca Juniors’ management does not count on these players for the upcoming season and intends to look for options to continue their careers, either through permanent transfers or new loan deals.
