Boxers of Armenian descent won gold at the Russian U22 Championship and will compete in Armenia

At the recently concluded Russian U22 Boxing Championship, four boxers of Armenian descent emerged as champions. All of them represent southern regions of Russia and secured confident victories in their respective weight categories.

The Russian champions are:
48 kg – Mushegh Bayanduryan (Krasnodar Krai)
57 kg – Andrey Peglivanyan (Krasnodar Krai)
75 kg – Anzhelika Harutyunyan (Stavropol Krai)
81 kg – Anastasia Demurchyan (Krasnodar Krai)

All four will represent Russia at the upcoming European U23 Boxing Championship, which will be held this October in Armenia.

In addition, Andrey Osipyan (54 kg) and Yuri Avetyan (57 kg) claimed silver medals.
