19-year-old basketball player Valeri Aghajanyan, who plays in Poland’s 2nd league for the club GAK Gdynia, will join the Armenian U20 national team for the upcoming European Championship Division B, which will take place from July 11 to 20 in Yerevan.
This was announced by the Basketball Federation of Armenia, which published a video featuring the player on its social media platforms.
Aghajanyan plays as a guard and is currently in his third season in Poland’s 2nd league. This season, he has appeared in 23 games, averaging 15 minutes on the court and scoring 2.3 points per game. He has also played in 8 games in the Polish youth league, averaging 4.5 points per game.
The U20 European Championship Division B in Yerevan will be one of the most significant sports events in Armenia. A total of 21 national teams will take part in the tournament. The Armenian U20 team will compete in Group B alongside Ireland, Latvia, Estonia, and Montenegro.
