Barsegh Kirakosyan appointed Rodina interim head coach after Juan Diaz departure

Barsegh Kirakosyan has been appointed interim head coach of Rodina. He will take charge of the team following the departure of Spanish specialist Juan Diaz, whose contract with the club was terminated by mutual agreement.

Kirakosyan will be assisted by Alexander Dimidko and Egor Novosadov.

Diaz's coaching staff will also leave Rodina with him: Jose Serrano, Antonio Salas, Jose Romero, Juan Espinar and Carlos Nieto.

The Spanish coach took charge of the team in September 2025. Under his leadership, Rodina achieved a historic result by winning the PARI League and securing promotion to the Russian Premier League. In its farewell statement, the club thanked Diaz and his assistants for their work and wished them success in their future careers.

Rodina's squad also includes Armenia national team forward Artur Garibyan. The striker started the season with two goals and two assists, but has not featured in the team's last three league matches.
