20-year-old Armenia international Artyom Bandikyan could return to the rotation at CSKA Moscow and receive more playing time this season.
The situation follows a serious injury suffered by CSKA central midfielder Dmitry Barinov. The player sustained a cruciate ligament injury and is expected to be sidelined for at least six months.
CSKA are also still without Moises, who is likewise recovering from a cruciate ligament injury.
With the club facing personnel problems, the coaching staff could bring Bandikyan back into the rotation, including using him in midfield.
There had previously been reports that the Armenian footballer could leave the club on loan. However, following Barinov’s injury, that scenario is now effectively ruled out, and Bandikyan is expected to remain at CSKA.
The 20-year-old Armenia international has made just one appearance for CSKA’s first team this season, featuring in a Russian Cup match.
