Azat Hovhannisyan to Fight Undefeated Aidos Medet in the USA

Tonight, on the night of January 23 to 24, Armenian boxer Azat Hovhannisyan (21-6) will enter the ring against undefeated Kazakh prospect Aidos Medet (13-0). The fight will take place in Long Beach, USA, and is scheduled for 8 rounds. The event will be broadcast live on DAZN.

For 37-year-old Hovhannisyan, this is another chance to return to winning form after a series of tough bouts. In his last three fights, the former title challenger and once the #2 ranked super bantamweight in the world lost to strong opponents — Sebastian Reyes (20-1), David Picasso (32-1-1), and Luis Nery (37-2).

Aidos Medet is a young and ambitious 24-year-old prospect from Kazakhstan, and this fight against the experienced Armenian will be an important test for him. A win would significantly strengthen his position on the international stage.
