On August 2 in Bangkok, 27-year-old Armenian boxer from Moscow Ashot Srapyan (5-0) claimed an impressive victory by knocking out renowned Thai fighter Chan Sala (12-8) in the sixth round. At stake was the UBO Intercontinental championship belt in the welterweight division, which now belongs to Srapyan.
Chan Sala was a former WBC Asia titleholder, but Srapyan confidently outclassed his opponent and finished the fight early. This was Ashot’s second bout in Thailand, and on both occasions he celebrated knockout victories.
As of today, Srapyan remains undefeated, boasting 5 wins in 5 fights.
