Ashik Andreyan finishes his run at the 2025 World Judo Championships

Ashik Andreyan, the only representative of Armenia at the 2025 World Judo Championships (under 60 kg weight category), concluded his participation in the first round.
In the opening bout, the Armenian judoka faced one of the tournament favorites — Brazilian Michel Augusto, silver medalist at the 2025 Tbilisi Grand Slam and two-time Pan American champion. Andreyan lost by ippon, ending his medal pursuit.
The World Judo Championships are held from June 13 to 20 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
