Journalist Nobel Arustamyan has expressed confidence that Armenia national team captain Eduard Spertsyan will not leave Krasnodar during the winter transfer window.
According to Arustamyan, the current situation in the Russian Premier League makes the departure of the team’s leader almost impossible. After the first half of the season, Krasnodar sit in first place, just one point ahead of Zenit, and the title race is expected to be extremely intense. Under such circumstances, club owner Sergey Galitsky is unlikely to agree to part with a key player.
“I am confident that Spertsyan will stay at Krasnodar. The team is fighting for the title, and there is no point in changing anything right now. There are simply no other options,” Arustamyan said on the program Komment.Show.
Spertsyan himself is enjoying one of the best seasons of his career. After 15 rounds, he leads the RPL assist chart with 12 assists and has also scored 8 goals, making him a crucial figure in Krasnodar’s attack.
Earlier, media reports linked the midfielder with interest from top Italian clubs, including Inter, Napoli, and Juventus. However, based on the latest comments, a potential transfer may be postponed at least until the summer, while Spertsyan remains focused on the title race with Krasnodar.
