Armenian midfielder Artur Zakharyan will continue his career in France. The 28-year-old has officially joined Versailles, a club competing in the French third-tier championship, Championnat National.
Zakharyan has signed a contract with his new club until 2028.
The Armenian midfielder spent last season with Stade Briochin. In the French third division, he played 27 matches, scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists. However, the season ended unsuccessfully for his former club, as Stade Briochin were relegated to the fourth tier.
Versailles, meanwhile, fought for promotion and finished 5th in the National standings. The move could become a new step in Zakharyan’s career and give him the opportunity to compete for promotion to the second tier of French football.
For the Armenian footballer, this is a new chapter in France, where he has already gained regular playing time and shown his quality with productive performances in midfield.
