Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan performed two perfect vaults and won the vault final at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup stage in Cottbus with a score of 14.900. This result allowed him to confidently surpass his rivals, including Nazar Chepurnyi from Ukraine (14.216) and Niccolò Vannucchi from Italy (13.899), who took second and third places, respectively.
This triumph was part of a successful performance by the Armenian team at the tournament in Cottbus. Armenia won two gold medals thanks to Artur Davtyan and Vahagn Davtyan. A total of five Armenian gymnasts participated in the first stage of the World Cup, and all of them reached the finals in their respective disciplines.
Mamikon Khachatryan finished 4th in the pommel horse event, while his compatriot Hamlet Manukyan placed 8th on the same apparatus. In the rings competition, Vahagn Davtyan won gold, while Artur Avetisyan finished in 4th place.
